ARDROX AV8 SUPER PENETRATING WATER DISPLACING CORROSION INHIBITING COMPOUND

ARDROX AV8 is a super-penetrating, water-displacing corrosion inhibiting compound (CIC) formulated to protect metallic and composite structures from rust and environmental corrosion. It works by displacing water on metal surfaces, penetrating into seams, joints and hidden cavities, then depositing a thin, protective, tack-free film that inhibits oxidation and corrosion — even in demanding aerospace or industrial environments.

The protective film is applied at low film weight, yet provides effective corrosion protection across painted and unpainted surfaces. ARDROX AV8 can be applied by spray, brush, dip or flow-on depending on the component and geometry. Spray application — preferably using air-mix (ACS) or air-less (AAS) systems — ensures deep penetration and uniform coverage.

Once applied, the compound forms a firm, tack-free barrier that repels moisture and prevents corrosion initiating agents from reaching the metal surface. The result is long-lasting protection — suitable for storage, transport, maintenance, or long-term component preservation. In severe environments, AV8 may be overcoated with heavier-film CICs for enhanced durability.
