Greases
Greases are semi-solid lubricants that are used in industrial manufacturing and engineering processes. They form a film between metal components to reduce friction and prevent wear, thus increasing the overall performance of the machinery.
At ConRo Electronics, we have a wide range of high-performance grease lubricants to meet your needs, such as silicone-based greases, synthetic greases and mineral oil-based greases. Our selection also includes various specialised products, like extreme pressure greases, high temperature greases and food grade approved products.
We provide quality greases that meet industry standard specifications and comply with environmental regulations for safe and efficient operation. Our products are sourced from leading manufacturers, such as Ambersil and Henkel.
ConRo Electronics is an authorised distributor for Ambersil and Henkel.
Types of greases
Some of the most common types of greases include:
- Lithium Grease: It works well under pressure and provides long-term lubrication and protection from oxidation and corrosion.
- Aluminium Grease: Commonly used in the food industry. It is suitable for high-temperature applications and provides excellent resistance to water washout.
- Calcium Grease: It has excellent water and corrosion resistance. However, it can’t withstand high temperatures.
- Silicon Grease: Ideal to protect machinery from moisture and extreme temperature.
- Synthetic Grease: Commonly used for rotating machinery components, such as bearings. It outstanding resistance to oxidation and extreme temperatures.
- Polyurea Grease: Provides excellent water resistance, high-temperature stability, and extreme pressure protection. It is often used in heavy-duty applications.
Benefits of greases
- Lubrication: Greases provide effective lubrication, reducing friction between mechanical components and preventing them from wearing out quickly.
- Protection: Greases offer protection against corrosion, rust, and oxidation.
- Sealing: Greases can also act as a sealant, preventing dirt, dust, and other contaminants from entering machinery and causing damage.
- Water resistance: Greases can also be water-resistant, preventing water from entering machinery and causing damage.
- Maintenance cost savings: Regular use of grease can reduce maintenance costs by extending the lifespan of machinery and reducing the need for repairs.
- Improved performance: Using greases can improve the performance of machinery by reducing friction and preventing wear and tear, ensuring that it operates smoothly and efficiently.
