No Mixing Required
Loctite 648 High Strength Retaining Compound is a single compound that does not need to be mixed or have a catalyst added to it. To reduce waste, the bonding adhesive can be applied directly from the container.
Loctite 648 Bond less than 5 minutes
After only five minutes, the Retaining Compound will develop a strong enough connection to allow the attached components to be handled. Curing time is around six hours.
Because the bond is produced via an anaerobic process, it is suitable for parts in an engine or other mechanical system that cannot be easily exposed to air to activate curing.
Great for Sprockets
The High Strength Retaining Compound is appropriate for nearly any mechanical or industrial application. Sprockets, gearbox shafts, attaching rotors on rotor shafts, and other similar applications are common.
