Loctite MR 5922 a slow drying, flexible setting paste that cures to an elastic, non-hardening film. It is used to seal flanges, fittings, connections and flexible assemblies against leakage.
Loctite MR 5922 is a slow drying, flexible setting paste that cures to an elastic, non-hardening film through solvent evaporation. The product is composed of resin, isopropanol and fillers. Loctite MR 5922 seals flanges, fittings, connections and flexible assemblies against leakage. Typical applications include non-rigid assemblies which are subject to vibrations and require periodic disassembly. Loctite MR 5922 is designed to improve the performance of pre-formed gaskets made of cork, metal, plastic or rubber. It increases the reliability of gasket seals. Loctite MR 5922 can also be used for repair of damaged pre-cut gaskets. The product retains its properties in contact with water, ethylene glycol, gasoline, motor oil, transmission fluid and sea water.

How to use Loctite MR 5922:
Remove all previous materials from mating surfaces.
For best results, clean all surfaces with a Loctite solvent. Use Loctite SF 7063.
Spread Loctite MR 5922 with a spatula to a uniform film on one side of the gasket. Position it on the assembly. Coat the second side of gasket and re-assemble.
Assembly is operational after 4 hours. Full cure is effective after 24 hours.
Storage
Store Loctite MR 5922 in the unopened container in a dry location. Optimal Storage: 8° C to 21° C. Storage below 8° C or greater than 28° C can adversely affect product properties.
