Loctite 55 Pipe Sealing Cord: This product has been carefully developed to meet professional requirements. Loctite 55 is a general purpose pipe sealing cord, designed for the sealing of metal and plastic tapered pipe threads and fittings. Supplied in containers that serve both storage and dispensing purposes, Loctite 55 can be wound from the package onto the threads of the pipe, ensuring a secure and leak-free seal. Its formulation eliminates the need for cure time, providing an instant, full-pressure seal.
Loctite 55 is suitable for a variety of applications, including those involving contact with gases, hot and cold water, and non-aqueous fluids. Certified to ANSI/NSF Standard 61, this product is approved for use in both commercial and residential potable water systems, provided the temperature does not exceed 82°C.

How to use Loctite 55 Pipe Sealing Cord:
For best results, apply Loctite 55 to clean, dry surfaces.
Wind the cord onto the pipe threads in the same direction of the thread helix, starting from the end of the pipe.
Cut the required length off with the integrated cutting tool. Smooth the loose end onto the pitches of the pipe thread.
Pipe joints sealed with Loctite 55 can be re-adjusted up to 45 degrees without risk of leaking.
StorageStore Loctite 55 Pipe Sealing Cord in the unopened container in a dry location. Optimal storage: 8° C to 21° C. Storage below 8° C or greater than 28° C can adversely affect product properties.
