Loctite 561 Pipe Sealant Stick Low Strength - 19G Stick

Loctite 561 is a semi-solid, acrylic-based pipe sealant, designed for the locking and sealing of pre-torqued metal pipes and fittings. This industrial-grade product comes in a convenient applicator stick, allowing to apply the sealant easily in situations where liquid or paste products would fall short. Loctite 561 cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces. It provides a secure seal that withstands shock and vibration, thus preventing loosening and leakage.

Loctite 561 offers controlled, low strength sealing, facilitating disassembly when needed without compromising on performance. Its wide service temperature range (from -55° to +150°C) makes it ideal for diverse applications across various industries. Additionally, this product fluoresces for ease of inspection. Loctite 561 is certified to ANSI/NSF Standard 61, making it suitable for use in both commercial and residential potable water systems, provided the temperature does not exceed 82°C.

How to use Loctite 561 Pipe Sealant Stick:

1. For best results, apply Loctite 561 to clean, dry surfaces.
2. Apply a sufficient amount of sealant to fill the threads in the area where the male and female threads will be engaged.
3. Recap product a after use.
4. Assemble and tighten fittings.
5. For maximum resistance, allow at least 24 hours for product to fully cure before filling and pressurising the system.

Storage

Store Loctite 561 Pipe Sealant Stick in the unopened container in a dry location. Optimal storage: 8° C to 21° C. Storage below 8° C or greater than 28° C can adversely affect product properties.
