Loctite 582 - 250ML Bottle

Loctite 582 is a medium strength, fast curing thread sealant specifically designed for the locking and sealing of metal threaded pipes and fittings. Its thixotropic formula, based on dimethacrylate ester, cures quickly when confined between closely fitted metal threads up to M56/R2”. This process ensures a durable seal that prevents loosening and leakage.

Loctite 582 Thread Sealant is designed to operate effectively within a broad temperature range, from -55°C to 150°C, making it versatile for diverse environments. Whether in extreme cold or heat, this thread sealant performs consistently. Additionally, the medium strength of Loctite 582 allows metal threaded fittings to be disassembled using standard hand tools.

How to use Loctite 582 Thread Sealant:

1. For best results, apply to a clean, degreased surface.
2. If using on inactive metal or curing speed is too slow, use an activator spray such as Loctite SF 7471 or SF 7649. Allow it to dry.
3. Apply a 360° bead of Loctite 5772 Thread Sealant to the leading threads of the male fitting. Leave the first thread free. For bigger threads: adjust product amount accordingly. Apply a 360° bead of product on the female threads also.
4. Assemble and tighten as required.
5. Assemblies will seal instantly to moderate pressures. For maximum strength and solvent resistance, allow the product to cure for 24 hours, minimum.

Storage

Store Loctite 511 Thread Sealant in the unopened container in a dry location. Optimal storage: 8°C to 21°C. Storage below 8°C or greater than 28°C can adversely affect product properties.
