BONDERITE M-NT 5992 (ALODINE 5992) is a trivalent chromium-based aluminium conversion surface treatment capable of producing a hexavalent, chrome-free conversion layer on aluminum and its alloys changing the colour to light green. This improves paint adhesion and increases anti-corrosive protection. In bare metal finishing, it also provides low electrical contact resistance. Please note: BONDERITE M products are used in the surface modification of metals and are usually applied in a multi-stage process. The performance of these surface treatments depends on various factors such as the preceding cleaning or etching steps (BONDERITE C portfolio), line design or process parameters.
